Limited PSLF Waiver

Last Updated: October 27, 2022

Federal Student Aid (FSA) has transitioned the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program, borrowers, and their loans from FedLoan Servicing to The Higher Education Loan Authority of the State of Missouri (MOHELA). Please visit MOHELA’s website for more information.

The limited PSLF waiver is a short-term opportunity for expanded loan forgiveness. Payments you made in the past may now be considered for PSLF, even if they wouldn't normally qualify. On October 31, 2022, the limited PSLF waiver ends, and beginning November 1, 2022, the Department of Education (ED) is going back to the normal program requirements for both PSLF and Temporary Expanded Public Service Loan Forgiveness (TEPSLF). For more details, visit or visit MOHELA’s website for more information.
